I joined Rock2Recovery in 2019 as part of the Welfare team, I was absolutely determined to be part of this amazing team after seeing the benefits of the work R2R provides when close friends had some sessions which turned their lives around. I now look after HQ, events, and our wonderful supporters and fundraisers.
R2R is a unique organisation that is inspiring and rewarding to work for. We are all passionate about getting help to people as quickly as possible, because change comes from change, not sameness.
I Served seven years in the Royal Marines. I have been with R2R since the beginning as their photographer / volunteer and moved to full time Referrals Co-ordinator in November 2021. Being part of Rock2recovery has given me a purpose in life so when a job came up I jumped at the chance and relocated to the South West.
I truly believe in the work we do and am very proud to be part of the team.
I Served 9 years in the Royal Marines followed by 2 years as a Police Officer in Scotland. I joined Rock2Recovery initially as a full time volunteer covering Scotland and North England as a Welfare Officer before changing roles at the end of 2020 to cover all of the UK and overseas.
I've always been passionate about my job role with Rock2Recovery after going through the process for help myself In 2018. Not only did it save my life but it gave me my life back.
I urge anyone who feels they are stuck in that vicious cycle to reach out and make the changes needed to get your life back on track.
I started Team Fortitude back in 2016, and supported the community in raising almost £50,000.
Since then I have worked for Rock 2 Recovery continuing my role in fundraising, and also doing the bookkeeping. I find the work really rewarding as I am from a family with strong military and blue light connections - Royal Engineers, Royal Marines, Army and Navy alongside Police and Fire brigade.
In recent years I have been delighted to watch R2R grow into the organisation it is today that we now also help Blue Light services.
